  • Essay Contest?

    So, I'm seriously thinking of entering the 2011 Moultrie News Essay Contest.  I have written anything like that in a long time.  Most of my writing has been more on the poetry side of things (this should be evident if you've read anything I've posted.)  I even wax philisophical or theological but not very often do I go the essay route.  Okay, I do rant from time to time! 

    First prize is $250!  That might be reason enough for me to give it a go.  Some of the kids over at Crown Leadership Academy are also thinking about doing the contest.  If I do decide to give it a whirl, I'll post my completed essay for your perusal.

  •  I am so tired God.  Tired of feeling the fire of this calling burning inside of me and not knowing how to pursue it.  I know that You have a plan.  You were the one who gave this desire to me.  I have a desperate thirst that only you can quench, only Your Spirit satisfies.  May my ears be attentive to Your word.  May my hands be nimble for Your work.  May my mouth only speak what You would have me say.  Lord remove from me anything that would hinder my walk with You.  I want this ministry.  Whatever it is Lord, I want it.  But I would rather be intimate with You.  Remove my weariness God.  Restore my soul.  Renew my mind.  Refresh my spirit.

    Amen...
